I received a cancellation notice email — what does it mean?

If you've received a cancellation notice email from Sprift, here's what it means and what to do next.

If you’ve received an email with the subject line “Sprift Cancellation” or similar, it’s natural to want to understand what’s happening. Here’s what the email means and what action, if any, you need to take.

Why you received this email

A cancellation notice email is sent when one of the following has occurred:

  • A cancellation request has been submitted for your account or one of your branches. This may have been requested by someone in your organisation.
  • A payment issue has triggered a cancellation notice. If a direct debit payment has failed or an invoice remains unpaid beyond the due date, a cancellation notice may be issued as part of the billing process.
  • Your contract period has ended and no renewal has been confirmed.

What to do next

If you requested the cancellation: No action is needed. The email is confirming that your request has been received and is being processed. See Understanding Sprift’s cancellation policy and process for details on what happens during your notice period.

If you did not request the cancellation: Contact us immediately at customer.success@sprift.com. It’s possible that someone else in your organisation submitted the request, or that the notice was triggered by a payment issue. We’ll look into it and resolve the situation.

If you think it’s a payment issue: Check with your finance team or bank to confirm whether your direct debit or payment method is active. Then email finance@sprift.com and we’ll work with you to resolve the payment and reinstate your account if needed.

Good to know

  • Receiving a cancellation notice does not mean your account has been immediately closed. There is typically a notice period during which your access continues.
  • If the cancellation was triggered in error, we can usually reverse it quickly once we’ve confirmed the situation.
  • If you’re unsure who in your organisation may have requested the cancellation, our team can check the request history for you.
