What are Title Plans and how do I access them?
Title Plans show the registered boundary of a property. Here's what they are and how to find them in Sprift.
A Title Plan is a document from the Land Registry that shows the registered boundary of a property on a map. It’s useful during valuations, boundary discussions, and conveyancing.
What a Title Plan shows
A Title Plan typically includes:
- The registered boundary of the property, outlined on an Ordnance Survey map
- The title number associated with the property
- The extent of the land included in the registration
Title Plans are official Land Registry documents and are a standard part of the property record.
How to access Title Plans in Sprift
- Search for the property in the Sprift platform
- Open the property page
- Look for the Title Plan section or document

If a Title Plan is available for the property, you can view and download it directly from the property page.
When a Title Plan may not be available
Not all properties have a Title Plan available in Sprift. This can happen when:
- The property is unregistered (not all land in England and Wales is registered with the Land Registry)
- The Title Plan data has not yet been linked to the property record
- The property has a complex registration (e.g. multiple titles covering different parts of the land)
If you expect a Title Plan to be available but can’t find it, contact us with the property address and we’ll check.
Good to know
- Title Plans show the general boundary of a property. They do not show the exact legal boundary — for that, a detailed boundary survey may be needed.
- If you need a Title Register (the document showing ownership details) rather than a Title Plan, this is a separate document. Let us know what you need and we’ll advise.
